Isha Malviya faces backlash for saying 'I Feel Safe' amidst Kolkata Rape and Murder Outrage | Check it out!

Isha Malviya sparked anger and disappointment among netizens on Thursday with her comments on the tragic Kolkata rape and murder case. The actress, captured by paparazzi in Mumbai, expressed shock over the incident but controversially mentioned feeling safe in Mumbai.

“I live in Mumbai and I feel safe. I always feel safe while living in Mumbai. But I think that government should take strong action on such incidents. I cannot even imagine what her family must be going through. I hope they get justice soon,” Isha said.

Following the video's online circulation, netizens swiftly responded and criticized Isha for her remarks. Numerous individuals contended that her sense of safety stemmed from her celebrity status. “Such a selfish girl she is,” one of the users wrote. “Celebrity to safe hi hai, aap aam ladkiyo ki safety ki bat karo,” added another. “Itne guards ke sath to safe hi rahogi tum” a third comment read.

One of the netizens vented their frustration with Isha's statement and penned: "Isha's comment is so out of touch with reality; she's living in a different world, wrote one, "Her life is all about showoff, she has no feelings for anyone," said another. The third user called her “Rich women talk like this only”.

At the same time, many TV celebs like Aly Goni, Abhishek Kumar, and Vishal Pandey, among others, have shown their dismay over the incident and called for severe punishment for the culprits.

“This breaks my heart. I couldn’t sleep last night thinking about what her parents must be going through… what she must have gone through… Crying, shouting, feeling helpless. A 31 year old girl, a doctor who wanted to save lives but what about her lives? Uski mehnat, uske sapne, sab khatam. Humanity is dead. We failed… 78 years of independence and women are not safe at her workplace,” Aly wrote on his Instagram handle.

Abhishek Kumar posted a video on his Instagram asking for justice for the victim. He tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging the government to act swiftly and decisively.
