Indira Krishnan's role Paani Bai in 'Durga' receives a nod from fans: "She's lady Nana Patekar"

Indira Krishna who once during the success of her character Kumudini in 'Krishnadasi' was given the tag of ‘Nana Patekar of television’ is once again compared to Vishwanath Patekar, known for his stage name Nana Patekar.

Indira who currently plays the role of Paani Bai in the TV drama Durga has impressed her audience. Recently the channel shared the promo of upcoming twist in the story on their social media and the comment section was filled with praises for her. Few of her fans compared her with Nana Patekar.

The comment section reads, "Indiraji guess aap komolika ka bhi record toroge, you look gorgeous.." the other one was, "Indira Ma'am aap mujhe Lady Nana Patekar lagte ho." Someone commented, "Lady Nana Patekar ko show mein gun do.. gooliyaan chalegi.. aur drama hoga" a fan wrote, "Paani Bai madari hai . N baki charecter bandar h show mein.. pura game Paani Bai k haath mein.. woh bole toh Mumbai Bandh." And one comment reads, "Really Indira is as strong as Nana Patekar use to be in his films.. u r Lady Nana Patekar.." , one writes, "Indira Krishan is the Lady Nana Patekar for sure."

Earlier talking about her role in the show the actress known for acting in shows like “Krishnadasi”, “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii”, “Saavi Ki Savaari” among others, draws inspiration from Bollywood legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and American star Marlon Brando.

She had said, "Before I sign a role, I make sure to do my homework. And for changing my voice and sound, I remembered Shri Amitabh Bachchanji. In the 1990 released Bollywood movie Agneepath, he changed his voice while performing."

She continued, “Also in the Hollywood movie The Godfather, Actor Marlon Brando changed his voice while essaying the role of Vito Corleone. I have always been inspired by trying hard to get the cord right and I’m living it as Paani Bai.”

On the work front, Indira is set to play the role of Kausalya in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film “Ramayana” featuring Ranbir Kapoor as God Rama and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita.
