The youthful energy of college life, the rush of first love, and the soundtrack of growing up; Mannu Kya Karega? packs all of this into a coming-of-age romance that releases on September 12, 2025. Directed by Ssanjay Tripathy and produced by Curious Eyes Cinema, the film stars newcomers Vyom Yadav and Saachi Bindra in the lead, alongside veteran actor Vinay Pathak. Recently, the leads got into an exclusive conversation with India Forums and shared their views on the film, competition, situation after Saiyaara and more.

Talking about how Mannu Kya Karega? and how will it affect the makers post the 'Saiyaara' effect, Vyom explained,

“So, after the release of Saiyaara you are making a film, which we are getting. So, I think, we may have written the script before them, you know, I am just saying. So, it is not like we watch someone and make a film. I know this is a trend in Bollywood, but I think our film is completely unaware of what Saiyaraa is doing or not doing, because we were already locked in stone by the time Sayiaraa was out. So, I think, yeah. We completed our principal photography last year, December. Obviously, we couldn't change a lot of things after that and our music was done by that time. So, yeah. Nothing to be worried about in terms of originality, but I think MKK is quite different from Saiyaraa.”

- Vyom

Releasing a film is always a mix of excitement and nerves. For Vyom and Saachi, that’s exactly where they are right now.

“So, it's just the fear of the unknown. What will happen in five days? And I just hope people give us a chance and come and watch our film. Because that's all I can pray for. Box office numbers and all of that come later. I just want people to watch it and, you know, give it the love. And I think dream is that it just is the next big thing. Yeah, like if Saiyaraa has made 500, we make 800. And it's loved by the audiences."

- Saachi

Both actors admitted that with so many films releasing towards the end of the year, their biggest worry is visibility. Vyom said: “I would say, my fear right now is that so many films are coming. Because the year is about to end. I think there are a lot of releases. I just have one fear. As Sachi said, we've made a great film. And if someone watches the film, they'll be like, bro, I loved the film. But my fear is that it doesn't go unnoticed. Because when so many things happen, there are chances that they don't even know that such a film has come.”

Still, there’s an unshakable sense of optimism in his voice. “That's the only fear. But I think the positive part is that as soon as people find out, if there's a good word of mouth, which will definitely happen if people watch it, then I'm very confident it might become the pre-Mannu Kya Karega phase and post-Mannu Kya Karega phase for me. It might just change my life completely. 180 degrees. I'm very positive. I'm just crossing my fingers. Because box office does matter. So I really hope people come and watch it. And once it happens, there's going to be a good word of mouth. And I think God is very kind to give us this opportunity. So I'm really hoping best for the film.”

With debutants as fresh as Vyom and Saachi, a relatable story about young love, and a director who knows how to balance fun with heart, Mannu Kya Karega? carries the charm of a sleeper hit. Whether or not it reaches the 800-crore dream number, one thing is certain: the film has already given its actors a journey they’ll never forget.
