'I would like to be in Big Boss with Kajol' - Aamir Dalvi

It's time for Aamir Dalvi fans to rejoice as their favorite actor will soon be seen in Sahara One's Main Aisi Kyun Hoon. This good looking dude who first debuted with Jabb Luv Hua(Lakhan), then moved on to Saathi Re where he earned a lot of name and fame as Rajeev. Here he speaks to Telly Buzz on his new show and career.

We have heard that you will soon be entering Sahara One's Main Aisi Kyun Hoon?
Yes I play Rahul, a suave rich guy who will enter the life of the lead girl Sanjana, when she is about to get married to Vikram Kulkarni(Vishal Puri). We will then have a typical love triangle.

What attracted you towards this role?
That there will be will be a twist to the character. Plus Rahul is totally different from Rajeev. The former was a subdued stable guy, while the latter is a energetic go getter.

Coming to Saathi Re, were you happy with the way the show was ended?
No, it ended too abruptly. Star One just gave us 10 episodes to wrap up. Since the viewers were used to certain plot pace, this sudden acceleration gave a jarring disconnect. But they at least finished the story and did not stop mid way.

Saathi Re ended in August, so what were you up to since then?
Post Saathi Re I needed time to plan my future career moves. For a month or two I indulged my passion of dirt bike racing as well. I rejected a number of offers as I did not want to do similar kind of roles. Luckily my wait was rewarded and I landed with Yahan Ke Hum Sikandar on Zee Next. This youth based show is quite interesting as I mentor a group of 7 college kids.

What went wrong with your supposed entry in Har Ghar?
A production guy misbehaved with me. A lot of negative reporting came regarding my decision to quit but, i stuck to my guns as no self respecting person could take such crap.

Reality shows are the new rage , which kind of format would you prefer?
I can't sing and dance, so Nach Baliye and Jhalak are out of question. But give me an adventure based show and I am more than game. I would also love to take part in Big Boss 2. If given the option, I would like to have actress Kajol as my house-mate. Living in close quarters with strangers would be a learning experience. Above all, the mind games and politics that abound this show excite me.

What next ?
Like all actors I too want to graduate to the big screen . But I prefer realistic roles, rather then out and out commercial ones.

Would you build a 6 pack abs?
It's too much of a strain to build that kind of body. I will rather use that time to be with my family. Honestly I feel that if you act well, then the audience will not get distracted to look at your hair, waistline, etc.
