Get Stylish with Shweta Salve !
This stunning beauty has been referred to as the
Madhuri Dixit of small screen by many. Sanjay Leela Bansali was completely bowled over her by her exquisite moves on 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja' stage. Possessing a flawless face, a mesmerising smile and an enviable figure, she oozes savoir-faire and makes a statement no matter what the occasion. Flamboyant yet demure, few television actresses possess the kind of elegance and class that Shweta Salve does. So we decided it’s time we got some exclusive tips on fashion and style from this chic lady.
Your definition of style and fashion
A) The very first : - Know your body; You must know your body, and dress accordingly. Don’t dress in a style just because it is ‘in‘. It can prove disastrous.
B) You will never ever find me in anything that is not comfortable, even though I love wearing stylish clothes. Style should not be at the price of comfort.
One accessory you can't do without?
Cell phone. I have to have one in my hand.
Fav. Accessories' brand:
Zara
Fav. Place to shop:
New York
Fav. Clothes Brand:
Not any in particular.
One designer that never lets you down:
Tarun Tahliyani- I love his style, and he has a flair of knowing what will suit a person.; The other brand I can depend upon any time is DKNY.
One outfit that you just cant seem to throw it away, even if its worn out:
A couple of jeans; I have had them for years and years !
If you had to give a fashion reality check to any guy in the telly world, who would it be?
I can’t name any one person, that would be too mean, but seriously I feel almost all of them need style check.
However if you had to choose one actor with a good style sense in television industry, who would it be?
Both the Roy brothers- Rohit and Ronit.
One telly actress who you think has the best fashion sense off screen?
Simmone Singh
Who among the Film faternity impresses you?
Preity Zinta; Hritik Roshan
One dress that never lets you down:
I actually have many. But two immediately come to my mind: One is Calvin Kline dress. It’s Red, not really my colour but it fits me like a glove.
The other one is a Malini Ramani: Gold mirror work. I love Malini Ramani’s work, she is very different from the rest and has a unique style of designing.
Ever been caught on the wrong side by the Fashion police?
Never. Not since I have come to know about fashion. I have a very distinctive style of my own and I am proud of it !
Fashion Tip:
Less is more. No, I do not mean in terms of clothes, but what you put on your body on the whole. Never go overboard, either with makeup, or with accessories, or with colours. Piling up tons of jewellery or dark garish make up can end up in making you look gaudy. Keep it to minimum. Minimalist look seldom fails.
Quick make up tip:
Scrub: That‘s a must. A sqeaky clean face will always get you through.. Then, a right amount of blush to bring some colour to your cheeks, some lip balm, and masacara. Stick to these basics and they will never let you down.
Having given that valuable tip, the classy actress signs off. We too sign off this week, but we promise to be back with lots more on fashion and style. Stay tuned to this space only on India- Forums Fashion Fijazz !!!!
