The veteran actress Mita Vashisht who has done exceptional work, not only on theater and television but also in films and has enthralled the viewers with her effortless acting skills, will now be seen in Zee TV's upcoming presentation 'Kaala Teeka'.

Speaking about her character 'Jethi Maa', the matriarch who will be responsible for all the troubles in the lives of the lead protagonists - Gauri and Kaali, Mita averred, "I have a lot of expectations from 'Kaala Teeka' and I hope the show brings us all the good luck that helps us create some awareness against superstitions by showcasing Kaali's journey."

Quite surprisingly, we figured out that this show comes in as a birthday gift to the lady as it launches on her birthday!

Elaborating on the thought Mita stated, "I was astonished when I heard the news that Zee TV will premiere the show on my birthday, November 2. Needless to say, the news turned out to be the best birthday gift, I have ever received. Earlier, I had decided to celebrate the birthday in a peaceful manner, but now after hearing this fantastic news, I must say 'party toh banti hai!'"

Set in Mithila, Bihar, it is the story of two young girls whose lives are entwined by an act of superstition.
