I don’t believe that doing only lead roles can take you ahead in life: Preeti Shukla of Maddam Sir

Actress Preeti Shukla has been a part of many projects like Begusarai, Piya Rangrez, Ek Duje Ke Liye and many others. Currently, she is seen in the show Maddam Sir.

Talking about the character she is currently playing in the show, Preeti says, "I am playing a character named Jharna.  She is a kleptomaniac, which is an interesting mental disorder in itself. So I loved playing such an interesting character which was offered to me as a challenge. And yes, to know more about the character, you have to watch the show."

On being asked if she believes that doing a lead is important, Preeti says, "I don’t believe that doing only lead roles can only take you ahead in life. On the contrary, I feel that you should perform the character in the most eligible way to bring attention to the same. As an actor I give 100 percent to every character which I’m offered. And the best example would be Maddam sir. I didn’t do the lead role there but that still brought me a lot of audience love and retention of my character.''

Lastly, on being asked about her upcoming projects, she says, "Currently I have wrapped my up schedule for Maddam sir. And then I am shooting for Crime Alert for a few episodes. And majorly then  I have my Bhojpuri film shoot where I am playing the pivotal character and yes I am majorly shooting for Bhojpuri cinema. So whenever I get time I try to do TV shows as it is my homeground."
