I can vouch for the fact that she’s exceptional: Dhaakad producer Deepak Mukut on Kangana Ranaut

Deepak Mukut  'Dhaakad' producer shares his frank opinions on Kangana being exceptional and her ability to deliver professionally as well.

The senior producer speaking about his action flick, said that the opportunity of working with Kangana was the most exciting part of working on 'Dhaakad'. 

He says, 

"For me, one of the main aspects of working with her was the fact that there was this perception that she's got a mind of her own, but having worked with her, I can vouch for the fact that she’s exceptional."

'Dhaakad' is an action-packed film with an important story. Revealing crucial production details, the producer says, 

"The film is shot in Madhya Pradesh as well as in Budapest. Since we wanted this project to look and feel international, we’ve hired action and technical crew members from the US, Canada, Korea and Hungary. Our cinematographer, Tetsuo Nagata, hails from Japan, as well."

Deepak and his team wanted to try something new, they wanted to tread a new path.

He says, 

"Everyone makes an action film with a hero, but to do it with a heroine was a prospect that seemed exciting to us. Our story was based on a female protagonist, so it’s not like we’ve forced the issue of having a woman do action. In that respect, it's pretty organic."

Every producer wants to make a good film and everyone tries hard at bringing something new to the table. Deepak reveals, 

"What sets 'Dhaakad' apart from any other Bollywood film from before is the fact that this is the first time that a female actor will headline an out and out action film. Our film offers a multitude of action styles and stunts, everything that the genre faithful will expect from an action film."

For the unversed 'Dhaakad' was also offered to Katrina Kaif. Deepak confirms, "She had loved the idea, but for creative reasons, the entire team just felt that we should take a chance with Kangana

Meanwhile, the filming of Dhaakad began during the peak of the pandemic, now completing the post-production work 'Dhaakad' will be released in April 2022.
