'I am very excited to play Pooja' - Sana Saeed

Sana Saeed, the cute and vivacious Anjali of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, is back as Pooja of Lo Ho Gayi Pooja Iss Ghar Ki, SAB TV’s latest offering as ’s first daily comedy show. speaks to Telly Buzz about her role, her and her future aspirations.

So, what is Pooja like, we ask . “Well,” replies , “Pooja is a very vivacious and bubbly person. She wants to become a singer but her parents want to get her married. Due to this, she leaves home and comes to Mumbai, the city of dreams. In a chance encounter, she ends up at the house of Shanti Devi as their cook. From there on the story progresses with incidents with each family member. I am very excited to play this role.” plays the role of an aspiring singer and is often found singing in the show. We have all seen her acting prowess, so is she a trained singer as well? laughs as she says, “No, in fact, I am a very bad singer. I was hoping that I would not be asked to sing in the show and thankfully, I was not. But, in the future I will definitely take some formal training in singing.”

was earlier seen playing Aastha Chaudhary’s physically challenged sister in Ratna Sinha’s Babul Ka Aangan Chootey Na. So was there any particular reason for leaving the show? “Actually, when the show began, I was told that my character was quite important. However, as time progressed, the whole track of the show changed and I had nothing much to do. At the same time, this came along and I felt it was a lovely character, so I thought of taking it up”, replies .

And what does the future hold for ? Currently, I am doing my T.Y B.Com, with a Diploma in Advertising. After which I want to go abroad to study for a year further. Then I will decide what I want to do.” So doesn’t her acting career become a hindrance to her studies? “Not really”, says , “Cinevistaas is very accommodating as they allow me to attend college in the morning and adjust the timings of my shooting schedule according to my college and exam timings. They are quite flexible.”
