In the darkest hours of the COVID-19 pandemic, when hope seemed to wane, a ray of light emerged in the form of Sonu Sood – an actor, a humanitarian, and a true 'Messiah' of the common man. His selfless efforts in helping people during those trying times cemented a special place in the hearts of millions. But Sood remains humble and grounded, for he sees himself as one among the masses he serves.
In a recent interview, when asked about being bestowed with the title of 'Messiah,' Sonu Sood humbly responded, “I had also written a book – I Am No Messiah – because it feels a little embarrassing. I feel being connected with the common man is the most important thing. I tell people that I am just one of them and that is what I want to be all my life.”
“The entire world rests on 'hope' and 'efforts'. When a person hopes that you would change their life and you make an effort to do that and actually do, I think that is the most satisfying feeling,” expressed Sood. It’s this satisfaction of positively impacting lives that keeps him going, motivating him to do even more. For Sood, being a changemaker isn't just a passing phase. It's a lifelong commitment that he has embraced with open arms. He concluded, saying, “Till my last breath, I will continue trying to change the world.”
But Sonu Sood's impact stretches beyond the realm of humanitarian endeavours. Of late, he has been enthralling audiences with his charismatic presence as the host of MTV Roadies 19, winning hearts all over again. And now, ardent fans await the release of his upcoming action-packed film, Fateh, which promises to take viewers on a roller-coaster ride.
