I am more interested in unlearning Haseena Malik right now: Gulki Joshi

Gulki Joshi, who had been a part of quite a lot of popular shows rose to fame with her stint in Sony Sab's show 'Maddam Sir.' The actress who essayed the character of SHO Haseena Malik in the show enjoys a huge fan following and is also known for her character in the show. 

Gulki who shot for Maddam Sir in a remote place called Naigaon near Mumbai had moved to there during her course of the show. Talking to us about the same and about her life after the show came to an end, Gulki said, ''Very mixed. As much as I am enjoying my freedom, as much as I am travelling and chilling in life, I miss the sets of my show 'Maddam Sir.' I miss my co actors, I miss the whole vibe. Even today when fans of the show tag me in certain memes related to the show, I immediately recall what behind shooting that scene. But If I talk about my life after the show, It has been amazing. I am travelling, I am chilling and I am living.''

The actress has moved back to the suburbs after the shoot of her show came to an end. Talking to us about the same Gulki said, ''Well I think I have come back to the suburbs, I have come back to the city and now I have realised it's importance. I think I value it a lot more now. After I came back here, I have literally ordered food at around 2 AM in the night  just because I could do it. This was not possible in Naigaon. Of course, Naigaon had Maddam Sir, Suburbs do not have Maddam Sir. Suburbs have all night food ordering services, Suburbs have my family and friends and all the time I want in the world, and trust me, I love it. I love Bombay. After staying in Naigaon, now I know why I love Bombay so much.''

The actress further reveals to us that the first thing she did after the show came to an end was travelling. She revealed that right after wrapping up the shoot of  her show she travelled to Sikkim and returned after 14-15 days. 

We asked Gulki her opinion on people now stereotyping her as Haseena Malik and whether this will make it difficult for the actress to fetch new characters and break free from the image of Haseena Malik. To this Gulki said, ''I do receive new roles, but more than what people are going to think about it and more than what the kind of work that I will get offered, I am more interested in unlearning Haseena Malik right now. Because, playing a character for 3 long years everyday, it somehow becomes a part of you. And of course, like I said before, Haseena Malik as a character is a part of me. Haseena Malik completed Gulki as a person. But, as an actor it is very important for me to unlearn that. So right now I am working on the same and hence I am taking a break. Once I am done doing this, I know I will work hard and my luck will side by me, everything will happen in my favour.''

We asked Gulki if there will be another season of Maddam Sir and that if it happens will she be a part of it or will she take up new characters now. On this the actress said, ''As of now, there is no conversation of season 2. Nothing has happened so far. Everybody is chilling and taking a break just like me. If and whenever it has to happen, I don't think I will have to announce it, everyone will come to know it I am sure.''
