The entertainment industry woke up to a piece of shocking news on Wednesday morning. Bappi Lahiri, the legendary composer-singer, passed away on Tuesday night. 

According to reports, the renowned music composer had breathed his last in Mumbai’s CritiCare hospital. His sad demise has left the entire entertainment world in grief.

He tweeted a picture with the Disco King and wrote, 

“Shri Bappi Lahiri Ji’s music was all encompassing, beautifully expressing diverse emotions. People across generations could relate to his works. His lively nature will be missed by everyone. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”

Meanwhile, Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah added to his Twitter handle,

"Pained to learn about the passing away of legendary singer and composer, Bappi Lahiri Ji. His demise leaves a big void in the world of Indian music. Bappi Da will be remembered for his versatile singing and lively nature. My condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti." 

Reports have it that Bappi Lahiri was not keeping well for a while and it is reported that he was hospitalized for a month. While he was discharged on Monday, the reports suggest that his health deteriorated on Tuesday and he was hospitalized once again.

Also politician Tehseen Poonawala tweeted and said,

Dearest Bappi Da, your music and you, both got smiles on our faces! We will miss you but you will always be with us through your music that will never ever stop!! Thank you for the smiles, Shine On Bappi Da ...! We love you ! ❤ 🎶
