Himanshi Parashar reacts to her link-up rumours with former co-actor Karan Mehra: "He apologised to me..."

Himanshi Parashar, an actress renowned for her portrayal of Sahiba in Star Plus' beloved series Teri Meri Doriyaann, has bid adieu to her beloved character.  She is currently embracing a new journey within the show as she takes up the challenge by adopting a new character, Gurnoor. 

After almost three years, Himanshi has finally addressed past rumours linking her with co-actor Karan Mehra. In 2021, amid allegations of domestic violence and an affair made by Karan's wife, Nisha Rawal, Himanshi's name surfaced. Himanshi, who has remained silent until now, clarified their relationship. Talking to Etimes, the actress said, "Karan and I acted in a Punjabi TV show and have known each other. But we are just co-actors. He even apologised to me after that controversy erupted."

Reflecting on the experience, Himanshi said, "I remember, one fine day, I woke up to rumours about my alleged affair with Karan. I just couldn't understand where that was coming from. My name was not directly taken, but people assumed that since we were co-actors, there was something brewing between us. That rumour was weird and absolutely baseless."

For the unaware, Himanshi has recently concluded her role as Sahiba in "Teri Meri Doriyaann," and she is now portraying a new character named Gurnoor in the series. 

Reflecting on her experience in the conversation, she described her year-long journey as Sahiba as wonderful and acknowledged the significant challenge of taking on a new role following Sahiba's departure from the show.

Himanshi also highlighted that sudden story changes in TV shows are common, often influenced by ratings. She pointed out that the direction of a show can change dramatically from its initial narrative based on audience viewership and feedback.
