Harsh Rajput on bagging ‘Pishachini’: I declined the offer initially
Harsh Rajput talks about bagging Colors’ show ‘Pishachini’ and reveals that he declined the offer initially.

‘Nazar’ fame Harrsh Rajpu is all set to play the male lead in the upcoming supernatural drama Pishachini. While Nyrraa Banerji and Jiya Shankar have been roped in for the roles of Pishachini and Pavithra respectively, Harsh will be essaying the role of Rakshit aka 'Rocky' Rajput.
The actor who was seen playing the lead role in Kuch Toh Hai: Naagin Ek Naye Rang Mein, briefs further about his character, saying: "I will be seen playing the character of Rakshit, he is a progressive man who is cynical about ghost stories and supernatural powers."
India Forums got in touch with Harsh and asked him about bagging ‘Pishachini’, he said, “Well, I got a call from the makers stating that they’re making this supernatural show called ‘Pishachini’ and hearing that I initially declined the offer. However, they narrated me the story further and they also told me that my character wouldn’t have any supernatural power and that’s what drove me to take up the show as I will play a normal human-being in the project (smiles). Apart from the same, the story of the show has also been quite intriguing”.

We asked Harrsh if he feels that he has been typecast as an actor in supernatural genre, he said, “I don’t believe that typecasting really matter. There are so many platforms and mediums available for actors, that being typecast is no longer a fear among the actors”.
The show is set to bring a thrilling tale of one such conniving demoness in and as ‘Pishachini’. Darkness is unfolding in the quaint town of Bareilly, where Rani, the Pishachini has been unleashed. The town is mesmerized by Rani, however, free from her grip and who sees Rani’s true character is Pavitra. The show will feature popular actors Jiya Shankar as Pavithra while Nyrraa M Banerji will play the character of Rani aka ‘Pishachini’.
