Harman Baweja hasn’t signed for Vibhishan in Ranbir Kapoor-led upcoming Ramayana: Report

Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana has created a lot of buzz even before casting of the film. Harman Baweja also attracted attention earlier this year following reports indicating that he might be joining Ranbir Kapoor's highly awaited Ramayana film. However, in a recent interview, the actor revealed that he has not taken on any new acting roles and is focusing on his responsibilities as a producer. This implies that he might not be part of the much-discussed project.

Harman Baweja launched his acting career in Love Story 2050, alongside Priyanka Chopra. He attracted considerable attention through his acting and producing projects. Recently, he participated in an interview with PTI, where he discussed updates on his upcoming ventures.

The actor was last featured in the Netflix series Scoop, and his performance received acclaim from both critics and viewers. Although he was making a return after a decade-long break, his depiction of a questionable cop drew significant attention.

In this regard, Baweja stated that while he has garnered much praise for his acting, he has redirected his focus towards growing his production company, Baweja Studios.

The actor-turned-producer shared, "God has been kind; I will not deny that I've been approached (for acting roles). But I haven't signed anything after Scoop. As an actor, I'm not doing anything substantial. I did Scoop after ten years, which worked out well. For me, it was a small but strong part."

Harman mentioned that he is concentrating on producing, distributing, creating, and enjoying new projects. The actor also shared details about his upcoming schedule, stating, "About 95 to 96 percent of work will be on production. I don't think I'll be filming as an actor for over 10 to 15 days in two to three years."

In March 2024, ETimes reported that Harman Baweja was likely to play Vibhishan in the Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari. However, the actor's recent comments have clarified the situation, putting the rumors to rest.

For those who may not know, Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana will be a trilogy, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles.
