Happy Birthday Priyanka Chopra!

Priyanka was born in Jamshedpur. Both her parents were physicians in the Indian Army and as a teenager she lived for some years in the US with her aunt. In the year 2000, she won the Miss World pageant and came second in the Femina Miss India contest. Priyanka initially wanted to study Engineering or Psychiatry, but after receiving many offers from the Indian film industry, she took on some roles and made her acting debut with Bollywood the movies The Hero Love Story of a Spy and Andaaz in 2003. From here, there was no turning back. In these 10 years, Priyanka has enacted a wide variety of roles. She has also won several awards including the prestigious National Award for the box office hit Fashion and several Filmfare Awards.

In addition to acting in films, Priyanka has hosted a TV show, participated in numerous stage shows, written for India's national newspapers, engaged in philanthropic activities, been appointed as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights, and also has recently released two international singles, "In My City" and "Exotic".
