Gurucharan Singh, widely known for his role in Sab TV's iconic show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,' recently made headlines after his sudden disappearance in April. After 25 days of being untraceable, the actor returned home and explained that he had been on a spiritual journey.
In a recent interview, Gurucharan Singh opened up about his financial struggles, revealing that he is burdened with a debt of Rs 1.2 crore. The actor shared that he has been in Mumbai for the past month, actively seeking work, but has not found any opportunities. He expressed his concerns, saying, "I've been in Mumbai looking for work. I believe people love and want to see me, and I need to earn money to cover my expenses, care for my mother, and pay off my debts. I need to get good work to start my second innings. I still have EMIs and credit card bills to pay. While some kind of people have lent me money, my debt keeps growing. I want to work and also care for my elderly parents."
Gurucharan also revealed that he has survived for the past 34 days on a liquid diet of milk, tea, and coconut water.
Reflecting on his struggles, he mentioned that the last four years have been filled with failures, and now, more than ever, he is determined to find work and rebuild his life.
Gurucharan Singh originally played the beloved character Sodhi on 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,' a role Balvinder Singh Suri has since taken over.
