Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin: Rajat signs documents for Kiyaan to adopt Arsh's name

In tonight's episode of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Kiyaan approaches Rajat with some paperwork, asking him to sign them. Rajat, visibly emotional, remarks on how long it's been since they last met, expressing how much he missed Kiyaan and assuming the sentiment is mutual. He notices Kiyaan playing alone and reminisces about their past cricket games, questioning if Kiyaan no longer has friends. Kiyaan explains that his interests have evolved; he aspires to become wealthy and live a life of luxury, like Arsh, engaging in elite activities such as golf and horse riding.

Rajat, acknowledging his financial stability now, agrees he can meet these demands. Kiyaan then reveals that he wants to change his name from Kiyaan Rajat Thakkar to Kiyaan Arsh Gujral before applying for a passport. Rajat, shocked and hurt, points out that he is Kiyaan's biological father and that Arsh has not married Kiyaan's mother.

Kiyaan urges Rajat to leave:

Kiyaan accuses Rajat of being an inadequate father who has failed to meet his needs in the past and present. Rajat, tearful, recalls the joy he felt holding Kiyaan for the first time and laments that Kiyaan now feels ashamed of him. Kiyaan dismisses Rajat's emotions, insisting he signs the documents. Rajat signs the documents and later asks for a conversation. Kiyaan, uninterested, tells him to leave and returns to his game. Rajat, reflecting on past memories of teaching little Kiyaan to button his shirt, notes with sadness that Kiyaan still struggles with it and warns him to stay away. Rajat exits the scene.

Back at home, Rajat, feeling dejected, requests his maid, Kavita, to make coffee. Savi informs him that Kavita is out and her parents are visiting Bappa, leaving her to handle the coffee preparation. Rajat attempts to make coffee himself, but Savi steps in to assist. They are then called by Sai to protect Bappa's lamp, leading Rajat to suffer a hand burn. Savi, admonishing him to be careful, applies ice to his burn. Rajat recalls a past incident where he burned his hand and Ashika dismissed his need for help as she was preoccupied. Ashika later brought a PlayStation for Kiyaan, a gift from Arsh, which led to a confrontation with Rajat about relying on Arsh. Ashika justified her actions by prioritising the best for her son, which Rajat couldn't provide. Back in the present, Rajat, frustrated, shouts at Savi, causing Sai to flee in fear. Savi scolds Rajat for his harsh behaviour towards the child and his usual rudeness.

Savi learns the truth:

The Bhosale family debates who will guard Bappa's eternal flame at night. Aman volunteers to watch over it with Mrunmayee, but Milind's need to attend a morning meeting and Isha/Shantanu's college commitments lead to a family consensus that Aman should take the shift. Aman and Mrunmayee then bond over their admiration for Rajat and Savi's musical talents.

Rajat, overwhelmed by Kiyaan's harsh words, seeks solace in a bar and gets heavily intoxicated. He instructs a waiter to offer him companionship and advises always showing love to children to prevent them from drifting away. Attempting to open a beer bottle with his teeth, he injures his tongue severely, leading to heavy bleeding. The waiter contacts Savi, who rushes to the bar, takes Rajat to a dentist, and witnesses the medical team prepare to stitch his tongue. 

In the chaos, Savi throws away Rajat's alcohol bottle, which lands on a laughing gas cylinder, causing a gas leak. Both Rajat and Savi start laughing uncontrollably. The doctor administers an injection while Rajat holds Savi's hand tightly, unintentionally calling out to Kiyaan to stay with him as no one else calls him 'papa.' Savi, taken aback, responds with surprise, noting that Sai does call him 'papa.' Rajat then reveals to her, leaving her shocked, that Sai is not actually his daughter.
