Gaurav Prateek to play Akshay Kumar’s confidant in the film, 'Mission Raniganj'

Gaurav Prateek, renowned for his roles in popular television shows like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Solah Sringaar', is all set to make his mark on the silver screen. Prateek, whose talent has already captivated audiences on TV, is now gearing up for his big Bollywood debut in the upcoming movie 'Mission Raniganj'. Releasing on 6th October, this Indian Hindi-language survival thriller film, based on the tragic Raniganj Coalfields collapse of 1989 in West Bengal, promises to be an intense cinematic experience.

In 'Mission Raniganj', Prateek will be essaying the character of Diwakar, who plays a pivotal role as the confidant of the protagonist, portrayed by the dynamic Akshay Kumar. Diwakar, a character portrayed by Prateek, is intricately woven into the storyline as Akshay Kumar's shadow, accompanying him wherever he goes. He is a very special person to Akshay in the movie.

Expressing his excitement about the project, Prateek shares, "I can’t even find the words to describe what an absolute honor it is to be a part of this project! This movie isn’t just a career changer. I mean, I used to dream about moments like this when I was just a wide-eyed kid watching Bollywood films with my family. Audience will get to see me in the whole movie following Akshay sir."
