Gaurav Gera's videos of Chutki and Shopkeeper's funny conversations became an instant sensation on social media in no time in 2015.

His videos take fans through the adventures of Chutki with her boyfriend and her favourite shopkeeper. His fans fell in love with the hilarious character and it went on to become an iconic character of his career. The actor in a recent interview, revealed about the brain behind the character of Chutki.

"I wanted to play different characters and entertain my fans. I cannot just keep playing Gaurav Gera my entire life. So that's how this character of Chutki came to life. I am an actor and to act, I need to play different characters. Chutki came to make the videos colourful. This was actually Kiku's suggestion who is also my good friend. He advised me to play a girl in a video and he decided to be my uncle in it. Because of that we came up with Chutki and once people started liking her I made many videos," said Gaurav.

That's not all, Kiku was the one who came up with the name too, shared Gaurav, "He was the one who even gave the name. He said ladkiyon ka naam hota hai ye.. let's keep this, so he was the brain behind Chutki."

Gaurav praised Kiku's comedy skills and called him someone who experiments with his characters, "He is a fantastic actor and keeps his audience engaged. He experiments a lot with his characters. He brings a lot of variety to his roles. He has been a nurse, Baccha and Accha Yadav. He plays different characters with a lot of conviction that I appreciate. He's a happy person and a yaaron ka yaar. He's fantastic," he said.

Kiku and Gaurav have been friends for more than a decade now and have also worked together in comedy shows.

Talking about sharing screen space with his friend Kiku, Gaurav said, "We worked together after a long time on Dr. Pran Lele. After a long time, we worked together. Kiku and I had worked in 2004 earlier. It was fun working with him because he is a friend in real life. There's a comfort level with him and we know a lot about each other. Be it the strong points or limitations, so we have a fair idea. And when we rehearse together, the final product comes out better. When you are working with a new person there is a kind of reservation about whether he will like this joke or not. But with friends, working is always fun."
