'Fukrey 3' holds strong at the box office; 'The Vaccine War' struggles to find its footing on day 2

The Bollywood box office witnessed a clash as two highly anticipated films, 'Fukrey 3' and 'The Vaccine War,' hit the theaters on the same day. Day 2 of their release brought with it some interesting developments in their box office collections.

'Fukrey 3,' the multi-starrer comedy film directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner of Excel Entertainment, had a promising start on its opening day, which happened to be a partial holiday. It kicked off its box office journey with a collection of Rs 8.82 crore. However, on the second day, the film showed a slight decline in its earnings, but nothing to dampen its spirits. Early estimates reported by Sacnilk.com indicate that 'Fukrey 3' managed to collect Rs 7.5 crore on its day 2 in theaters. This brought the film's two-day total to Rs 16.32 crore.

Despite the dip in collections on Friday, the film continues to perform admirably. It registered an occupancy rate of 19.69 percent on the second day, maintaining its hold on the audience's interest.

The ensemble cast of 'Fukrey 3,' featuring talented actors like Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Pulkit Samrat, and Pankaj Tripathi, has certainly contributed to its appeal, drawing in audiences with their comic antics.

On the other hand, 'The Vaccine War,' directed by filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri and starring Nana Patekar, Anupam Kher, Raima Sen, and Pallavi Joshi in lead roles, is facing a tough battle at the domestic box office.

Sacnilk.com reported that 'The Vaccine War' earned just over Rs 1.50 crore in two days since its release. The film, which hit theaters on September 28, managed to collect Rs 85 lakh nett in India on its second day, mirroring its performance on the first day.

This brings the total box office collection of 'The Vaccine War' to Rs 1.70 crore so far. Despite a star-studded cast, the film seems to be struggling to find its footing in the fiercely competitive box office landscape.
