Each week, we'll give you the download of all the movies that are to be releasing on the Friday, and let you know how it stands in our charts. So without further ado, here is the first ever Friday preview of Bollywood releases for 30th September!
Cast: John Abraham, Genelia D'souza, Vidyut Jamwal, Raj Babbar, Mohnish
Behl
Director/Producer: Nishikanth Kamath/Vipul Shah
Music director: Harris Jayaraj, Lalit Pandit
First on our list is the much awaited action thriller, Force.
A remake of the popular Tamil film Kaakha Kaakha, the movie tells the
story of a dutiful cop in pursuit of a malicious gangster. With his biceps and
triceps bulked up for his angry young man look, it's undeniable the
camera is loving the hunky John, especially his new pairing with the bubbly
Genelia D'souza. So far, the movie has fans screaming excited praise from the
trailers and song promos alike, with some booking tickets in
advance, so it seems the movie holds some potential.
Director/Producer: Tigmanshu Dhulia/Tigmanshu Dhulia,
Rahul Mittra
Music director: Amit Sial, Sunil Bhatia, Jaidev Kumar, Anuj Garg,
Abhishek Ray, Ankit Tiwari, Mukhtar Sahota
Said to have taken loose inspiration from the film Sahib Biwi
aur Ghulam, the film sees a Nawab (Shergill) clutching
at atrocious methods to vainly try and maintain his age old
traditions in modern times. With his attentions diverted to his mistress, his
Begum (Gill) asks her driver (Hooda) - who she develops a steamy relationship
with and has been planted by a rival to murder the Nawab - to murder the
mistress so her husband returns. However, after the deed, the driver's ambitions
heighten wanting the Begum for himself. What happens next? Well, if you're
bored of the usual love stories and are looking for something spicy
with a whole heap of betrayal thrown in, then look no further.
Cast: Dev Anand, Jackie Shroff, Riya Sen, Divya Dutta, Naseruddin Shah,
Yashpal Sharma, Milind Gunaji, Amar Singh
Music director: Ad Boys
Still going strong in his 88th year, at the helm of all the major
positions in this movie is none other than yesteryear's lovable star, Dev
Anand. Speculations have it that the movie is inspired by the real life
case actress Divya Bharti, who mysteriously fell to her death at the
peak of her career. Divya Dutta is set to play an actress who mysteriously
dies whilst Dev Anand plays the role of a CBI officer who cracks her case.
One reason people may watch this is to see the evergreen actor shine on the
silver screen once again. Others? To see how politician Amar Singh fairs in a
cameo of a Home Minister! But are they reasons enough for you?
Cast: Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Minissha Lamba, Pia Trivedi, Satish
Kaushik, Sanjay Mishra, Madhur Bhandarkar
Director/Producer: Sagar Ballary/Sunil Chainani, Sameer
Srivastava, Subhash Dawar
Music director: Sachin-Jigar
Taking a break from the heavy duty crime and thriller movies, we bring
you a more light hearted rom-com. Another story centred on love
triangles, this movie follows Tusshar and Shreyas as they compete each other to
vie for Shabana's aka Minissha attention. However, a twist in the story comes
when the competition to get her turns into a competition to be rid of her.
Confused? Well, watch it to get to know what's going on! Even though the movie
seems to lack in the promotional side of things, loyal fans of Shreyas and
Tusshar should definitely check out the actors' much talked about comedy
timing, as once displayed in Golmaal 3. Fans of
Minissha can take a look to see their actress trying her hand in comedy.
Director/Producer: Deepa Sahi/Anup Jalota, Ketan Mehta
Music director: Shivangi R Kashyap
Another romantic comedy, this movie revolves around
the oldest battle of time - the battle of the sexes. The plot reveals
how a much-in-love couple extend their honeymoon whilst travelling
the Alps of the Himalayas. However, their love affair tends to get the
better of them, leading to some hilarious arguments and the meeting of a
local couple, Vinay Pathak and Riya Sen. Life isn't always perfect, and this movie shows just that with the right amount of comedy.
Director/Producer: Pammi Somal/Pammi Somal, Gurtejpal S.
Somal
Music
director: Jatin-Sameer
Looking for a romantic, breezy movie to pass the time
whilst making you smile? Then this movie might just be for you. Starring
Amrita Prakash, who has earlier been seen playing roles of the younger
sister in previous blockbusters, the cute actress finally comes to the
forefront as a lead with newcomer Garry Gill. The
movie depicts the story of two people who are poles apart but still
somehow end
up together, aka a story about a couple who were never destined
to meet! With a been there, seen that script, let's see how it stands at
the Box Office with a new cast pulling it's rear.
That's all from us, folks. A movie or two tickled your fancy? Then wait no longer and book those
tickets! Take a loved one, buy your favourite snack and let us know of your
views. Until then, this is Friday Releases signing out!
