Fatima Sana Shaikh slips Vijay Varma into her Umrao Jaan post, fans call it 'subtle drop'

Fatima Sana Shaikh and Vijay Varma are back in public conversation, this time thanks to a few pictures shared by the actress from the recent Umrao Jaan screening. While neither has officially confirmed any romantic relationship, their frequent appearances together—and now these new photos—are enough to keep rumour mills spinning.

Fatima posted a series of moments from the restored screening event of Umrao Jaan on her Instagram. The album included shots with veteran star Rekha and notably, a couple of pictures featuring Vijay Varma. The post caught fans’ attention quickly, considering that the duo was already spotted together earlier this year at a Mumbai café.

In her caption, Fatima wrote warmly about the experience of watching Umrao Jaan on the big screen. She shared, “Watched Umrao Jaan on the big screen.. and what a surreal experience it was. Every time Rekhaji appeared, all of us gasped. Her eyes, her stillness, her grace… uff! it’s impossible to look away. I am in love with her ?? she is magic. And it was beautiful to see the industry come together to celebrate her."

The presence of Vijay in the frame was not addressed directly in the caption, but it was enough for social media users to speculate further about their bond. Some fans pointed out their shared history at FTII and their upcoming collaboration in Ul Jalool Ishq, directed by Vibhu Puri, as possible reasons behind their growing closeness.

Notably, this comes a few months after reports of Vijay’s quiet breakup with Lust Stories 2 co-star Tamannaah Bhatia surfaced. While Vijay kept a relatively low profile following the news, Tamannaah moved forward with work, promoting Jailer and other ventures.

Earlier, during the trailer launch of Aap Jaisa Koi, Fatima was asked if there’s someone special in her life. She had replied playfully, “No one is there. No good guys. They exist only in films."
