Father's Day: Pratibha Ranta says 'My grandfather has been like a father figure to me'

Every third Sunday of June is celebrated as Father's Day and ever since midnight, wishes and heartfelt messages have been pouring in on social media. Meanwhile, actress Pratibha Ranta who plays the role of Chahat in Zee TV’s Qurbaan Hua spoke about her bond with her grandparents and revealed how her grandfather has been like a father figure to her.

She said, “I have grown up around my grandparents, so my grandfather has been like a father figure to me. His stories around how he struggled and fought with his family to pursue his studies have always been a source of inspiration to me. He also taught me how to dance today, if I love and enjoy dancing, it's only because of him. He has always stood by me, whenever I had to take any tough decisions in life, he has helped me and shown me the right way to go about it. Even today when I call and tell him how much I miss spending time with him, my dadu tells me how proud and happy he is with my achievements and I think that pushes me and motivates me to work harder for him. My father has also been very supportive and never stopped me from doing what I wanted to, he has helped me achieve what I have today.”
