Farah Khan reveals mom Menaka Irani threatened to throw her out of the house when she wanted to marry at 23

Farah Khan’s cooking show is perhaps the best thing on Indian YouTube. This week, she has got Apoorva Mukhija on the show. The film director bonded very well with the Gen-Z influencer who was seen on the show, The Traitors India. Apoorva Mukhija told Farah Khan that she is thinking of marriage and settling down. The young lady said she is on the lookout for a good man. Farah Khan narrated how when she wanted to marry at 23, her mom gave her an earful. She told Farah that she would be kicked out of the house if she marries someone. The choreographer and director hated her mother and called her a Dushman.

“At 23, I wanted to get married. I thought my life is now over. ‘Kya hi hai life mein?’ And my mom was like, ‘If you get married so young, I will throw you out of my house.’ I cried and created a scene. I said, ‘Other parents want their daughters to get married and you are my dushman.'”

Then, Farah Khan said 30 was a good age to marry. She said by then people get some life experience and can take better decisions in emotional matters. Apoorva Mukhija said maybe she could find a boy now and then tie the knot at 30. As we know, Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder fell in love on the sets of Main Hoon Na. He is eight years longer to her. Farah Khan said she feels grateful that she got married at 40 and not 23. Farah Khan said, “I am very happy. I have three beautiful children. A good husband. At 40, you do whatever you want.”

Apoorva Mukhija recently reacted to the viral clip that claimed her net worth was Rs 41 crores. She said she has not made even one tenth of that amount so far. After the India’s Got Latent controversy, Apoorva broke down and said people sent her mother sexual assault threats and harassed her family. Her father is a government employee while her mom works as a school-teacher. Apoorva has a B. Tech in Computer Science from Manipal University.
