Esha Deol recalls slapping a man for ‘inappropriately’ touching her despite security

Esha Deol recently shared a troubling incident from 2005 at the premiere of her movie Dus. Despite security being around, a man managed to act inappropriately. In response, she swiftly took action by holding his hand, pulling him out from the crowd, and giving him a slap. Esha mentioned, "I am not someone who gets angry easily, but if someone crosses a line, I will react."

On The Male Feminist show, Esha Deol talked about a time when she faced eve-teasing, an experience she found intolerable. She recalled the incident occurring in Pune during the premiere of Dus, a film featuring Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Zayed Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan.

As the celebs made their grand entrance, Esha navigated through the crowd, surrounded by hefty bouncers. Despite the security presence, a man in the crowd behaved inappropriately towards her. Without hesitation, she took matters into her own hands, seizing his hand, moving him away, and delivering a swift slap. She clarified that while she isn't usually hot-headed, if someone pushes her limits, she feels compelled to react.

Esha motivated women to confront and vocalize against such actions, stressing the significance of responding in such instances. She said, "Also, a woman should definitely react in such situations. Just because men are physically stronger, they cannot take advantage of it. I also believe that women are emotionally stronger."

Esha Deol, the daughter of Bollywood legends Dharmendra and Hema Malini, married businessman Bharat Takhtani in 2012. They are parents to two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. Unfortunately, in February 2024, the couple revealed their decision to separate after 12 years of marriage.

Esha stepped into Bollywood with Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe and graced the screen in movies like Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, LOC: Kargil, Yuva, Dhoom, Kucch To Hai, and Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa. Following her success in films, she paused acting to prioritize her family. Currently, Esha is gearing up for a comeback to the industry, with news of her upcoming project anticipated to be announced shortly.
