We are just a couple days away from saying ciao to 2019. And this ain’t just any other year end but a remarkable culmination of a decade, which saw an immense amount of revelation of varied trends in the domain of casuals, western formals as well as the ethnic wear fashion. From Indian and international runway, Hollywood and Bollywood to our most favoured Indian TV world, we’ve closely been watching every style move made by our favourites around the globe. While each one was special, the ones listed down below were an instant hit on our desk for the love of Indian TV and these lovely actresses. Head down, to see the ones that stayed in our sartorial memories....
Going alphabetically, we have the ace saree slayer, Anita Hassanandani in this year’s most fun saree trend, the frilly drape, clubbed with a golden printed choli and choker.
From the moment we laid eyes on Erica Fernandes’ green one shoulder choli and embroidered lehenga, we can't get over it. It being the perfect amalgamation of colours, carefully done surface ornamentation and design makes it a memorable outfit. Also, the way Erica has worn this ensemble makes it totally deserving to be in this listical.
Scroll down to meet yet another memorable single-shoulder drama. Deepika Kakkar’s yellow lehenga choli and stellar jewellery.
In the bridal genre, the three looks that have remained with us and will be, moving ahead are down below. The first one, as worn by Hina Khan for her music video. The second being, Mohena Kumari’s traditional Rajasthani bridal avatar for her real life wedding and lastly, Surbhi Jyoti’s bong bridal getup. All these have been saved in our bridal folder forever.
In the category of gowns, the three award winning looks are worn by three very cute and beautiful women of TV world. One a lavender slit gown and complimenting beauty game as donned by Jennifer Winget the other, an elegant yet eccentric pastel gown put on by Shivangi Joshi and lastly a ravishing red gown rocked by Kritika Kamra.
Moving on to another category in the desi outfit club is the contemporary lehenga choli designs. Firstly this beautiful sky blue lehenga choli as worn by Nia Sharma, then this interesting mis of a collar jacket, plunging neck choli and mirror embroidered lehenga set from Ridhi Dogra. This hot pink, gota work embellished ensemble worn by Rubina Dilaik and last but not the least, this awesome orange sleeveless choli and pleated lehenga set from Surbhi Chandna.
Fusion fashion saw an array of different styles. Starting with Sanaya Irani’s cream pantsuit meets a saree design then Shraddha Arya’s Russian red pantsuit with a side trail and last but not the least, Drashti Dhami’s jacket and bottoms with an cut-out corset.
While these are the fashionable looks remembered by us, which one has been by you? Let us know in the comments below….
