Tunisha Sharma’s death news came as a shock to everyone. Merely twenty years old Tunisha hanged herself on the sets of her Sony SAB show ‘Alibaba: Daastan-e- Kabul’. Reports have it that Tunisha was apparently in a relationship with Sheezan Mohammed who plays the character of Alibaba in the show.

As per reports, Sheezan and Tunisha broke-up recently, which affected Tunisha’s mental- health a lot. She took the drastic step on an unfortunate afternoon of 24th December 2022.  Tunisha’s mother Anita Sharma has filed an abatement to suicide complaint against Sheezan and police has detained him until 28th of December 2022. There were rumours about Tunisha’s pregnancy but Police officers have ruled that out and stated that nothing of that sort has appeared on the autopsy report.

Actresses Shafaq and Falaq Naaz who're Sheezan's sisters opened up on the matter and posted a note on social media.

They wrote: As much as everyone is eager to know the 'other side of the story', we are equally curious to know, but for time being we'd like for you to allow us privacy in this grave situation.

Both families are victims at this point. Let the right time come and we will address the matter for sure. But this is not the right time. A death is a painful situation everyone needs to honour the privacy of the affected Families and give them the space to mourn and carry on with the funeral first.

It is such an unfortunate state that we lost a precious soul and another is arrested.

Accusations have been leveled against Sheezan and the police are investigating the case. Let police take the call. I am confident that an innocent guy has been framed without an application of mind." This situation has been overwhelming for the family members and we'd like to take this time to co-operate with the police and let the truth come out. We have complete faith in the Indian judiciary system and hope the truth shall triumph. Also, please do not take our silence for weakness; We will speak soon when the time is right. But for now, allow and respect our privacy.

God bless tunisha's soul and may only truth and justice prevail. This case unfortunately seems like a simple case of not being able to deal with a breakup coupled with pre-existing mental health issues as tunisha previous co-stars said she had anxiety and depression from before, but unfortunately her death has been hijacked by religious and political far-right groups to stoke communal division further by dramatising and sensationalising it more than necessary. Absolutely disgusting how a young girl's death is being weaponised and sensationalised for a malicious agenda. I also feel extremely sorry for sheezan. Breakups happen all the time and everybody has a right to end a relationship but for it to take such a tragic turn would put a lot of undeserved guilt into a person and on top of it his social media is now filled with bigoted and ugly comments when there is no evidence of wrongdoing against him.

Teach your kids to have a strong mind especially the younger youth. Nothing is more precious than life. She obviously had a problem. India really doesn't like to deal with mental illness. No one talks about it and professional help isn't available due to stigma.
