Dipshikkha Nagpal on her upcoming film Mawaali: “It’s a Suspense Thriller with Twists and Emotions”

Actor Dipshikkha Nagpal is all set to appear in the upcoming Marathi film Mawaali, which will hit theaters on May 23. The movie will also be released in several other languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, making it accessible to a wide audience.

In Mawaali, Dipshikkha plays a key role and is excited for audiences to see her performance. Speaking about her character, she said, “My character is very important and actually moves the story forward.”

The movie is directed by Sanjay Niranjan and also stars Gavie Chahal, who plays a lead role alongside Dipshikkha. When asked how she got the role, she shared, “The movie was originally titled Bombay. Sanjayji, the director, approached me with the script and mentioned Gavie was a part of the cast. Though I hadn’t worked with Gavie before, I had seen some of his previous films. I liked the story and the idea of working with him.”

One of the reasons she agreed to do the movie was a romantic song featured in the film. “There’s a beautiful romantic track in Mawaali, and it’s shot very well,” she said. “My character is deeply in love with Gavie’s character. They share a strong bond, but things don’t stay simple—there’s suspense, drama, and unexpected twists that change everything.”

Dipshikkha believes the film will keep audiences engaged from start to finish. “It’s a full package. The storyline is strong, the characters have depth, and the suspense will keep viewers guessing. I really enjoyed being a part of it,” she concluded.
