Dia Mirza Rekhi, Bollywood actress and producer, is gearing up for her third film release this year with "Dhak Dhak." Following her appearances in "Bheed" and the second season of "Made In Heaven," Dia Mirza is set to grace the screen once again. "Dhak Dhak" is a special project, not just because of its compelling storyline but also for the teamwork and dedication displayed by the cast.
The film takes the audience on the journey of four ordinary women who embark on a thrilling motorcycle adventure to explore themselves. Notably, this venture marks Taapsee Pannu's debut as a producer and features a stellar cast, including Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanjana Sanghi.
What sets "Dhak Dhak" apart is the commitment of its cast members, who went the extra mile to capture the essence of their roles. They undertook a grueling journey, riding their bikes from New Delhi to Khardung La, which is India's highest motorable road, to reach the film's shooting location.
In a recent interaction with News18, Dia Mirza shared an incident from the sets of "Dhak Dhak" that highlighted the determination and resilience of her co-star, Fatima Sana Shaikh. On one of the most challenging days of the shoot, Fatima experienced an epileptic seizure. The demanding conditions, including the thin oxygen levels and difficult routes, had taken a toll. However, what followed was a testament to Fatima's unwavering commitment as an artist.
Dia recounted the incident and said, "The oxygen was thin, the routes were hard, and Fatty had a few situations where she had an epileptic attack. But within seconds, she got up and did one of the most dramatic and significant scenes in the film. I’ve sobbed not because she’s a brilliant performer but looking at her sheer commitment as an artist.”
Praising her co-star, Dia Mirza added, "We truly rallied around each other. Women not getting along with one another is perceived to be more entertaining."
The making of "Dhak Dhak" was no easy feat, and Dia acknowledged the challenges the team faced in bringing this project to life. She emphasized the dedication and belief in the subject matter that brought the film to fruition. Dia Mirza also commended the producers, Taapsee and Pranjal, for their relentless efforts in making this story come to life.
"Dhak Dhak" is all set to captivate audiences as it hits the big screens on October 13, 2023.
