Dhadkan actress Additi Gupta: When the show was offered, I felt this is a life time opportunity

Dhadkan: Zindaggi Kii will see Additi Gupta return to the screens after a brief period of being away from acting. The actress will be seen playing the role of Dr. Deepika, someone who is determined and is always questioning patriarchy. She is someone who wishes to break stereotypes for women at both work and home. While the show is a medical drama, Additi believes there's a lot that the show has and it captures everything.

About what she thinks regarding comparisons that could be drawn, she tells us, ''You can't compare it to Indian shows because the ones we have seen are very love oriented and they've captured one part of it, they've not captured everything. This show is about doctors and also what happens in their work life as well as love life, it is not just about one thing, it's a mixture and probably of the right kind of things. It's also about when they do surgeries and when they come out, what goes on with them, no on discusses that, but the show does it. It is basically for all those people who have been in the field for all this time and I don't think anyone has done that or tried this.''

Additi is mighty excited and feels blessed to be a part of the show. She added, ''When the show was offered, I felt this is a life time opportunity and I still believe that. Very few actors get this opportunity and I am thankful for whoever believed in me and everything that has happened with this show. Deepika is independent, she knows what she wants and she has the clarity in her life for a long time. She wanted to become a surgeon and she had to fight a lot for that and it is about the journey. Character wise I feel she is a fighter, emotionally, there's a lot inside of her.''

So far, the show has been receiving rave reviews for Additi's performance and it does stand its ground.
