New Delhi, Nov 26 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Wednesday stayed the release of the film 'Sorry Bhai' after singer Rabbi Shergil alleged that his composition was used in the Hindi film without his permission.
Justice Rajiv Sahay Endlaw, staying the release scheduled Friday, issued notice to the film's director Onir to respond to the plea by Dec 8, the next date of hearing.
'Sorry Bhai' is a holiday film with the punch line 'Come, fall in love… with your brother's bride'. It stars Sanjay Suri, Sharman Joshi and Chitrangada Singh in lead roles, supported by Shabana Azmi and Boman Irani.
Rabbi Shergil in his petition has alleged that a song in the film has his composition which is a clear violation of the copyright act.
