Cometh the New Year, Cometh the Shows...

Welcome the New Year 2011 with a big smile on your faces!! Well, we have seen lot many signature shows doing well in the year 2010; few have gone unnoticed while few long-running shows did see a fitting end!!

With the New Year fast approaching, the top Hindi General Entertainment Channels are already planning their first move!! The race to make it to the top of the TRP chart starts yet again, and with it begins the planning for the new shows that will launch in the New Year..

TellyBuzz has always been prompt in giving our readers a brief on the new shows to come on Hindi Television, and we now take this opportunity to list out the shows that will see its dawn in 2011.

We will start with the #1 channel Star Plus, that ends the year on a high note with a GRP of 368. The channel has some top-notch shows to offer the audience when it comes to their fiction programming, and they have an equally promising line-up in store for the New Year.

Shows on Star Plus:

•    Wife Bina Life, a novel reality show that will depict the atmosphere inside the house when the lady and homemaker of the house is not present.
•    Nach Baliye 5 has to be back to entice the audience.
•    Aap Ki Kachehri with Kiran Bedi will be back with a Season 3.
•    The huge success of Master Chef 1 prompts the channel to be back with a Season 2 soon.
•    Dance Olympics, a dance reality show produced by SOL is in the making.
•    'Navya', a youth based show produced jointly by Swastik Pictures and Vivek Bahl, Executive Creative Director, Star India.
•    Dor, produced by UTV which is the remake of the Tamil serial Kolangal.
•    Diya Batti, produced by Sumeet Mittal and Shashi Mittal.
•    Koyal Boli, produced by J.D. Majethia and Aatish Kapadia's Hats Off Productions.
•    An untitled show on the lines of Jab We Met, to be produced by Shreya Creations.
•    An untitled youth based show to be produced by Endemol and 4 Lions Films.
•    An untitled Cinevistaas show with a musical backdrop.
•    Maharana Pratap, to be produced by Contiloe Telefilms.
•    Comedy weekend show by Neela Telefilms
•    Thriller weekend show produced by Filmfarm India.
•    Paraya Ghar, produced by V.G. Productions
•    Anchal, produced by V.G. Productions

COLORS ended the year 2010 at the second position with a GRP of 289. The shows on the channel that can be expected are:

•    Phulwa, the show on the life story of Phoolan Devi to be produced by Swastik Pictures
•    Mukti Bandhan coming from Shobhna Desai Productions.
•    Kudesan produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms.
•    A youth based show on the lines of Remix, to be produced by Film Farm India.
•    Chak Dhoom Dhoom Team Challenge.
•    Jeena Hai Saath Saath, to be produced by V.G. Productions
•    Vidhwa, to be produced by V.G. Productions
•    Guinness World Records, Ab India Todega..

The shows on Zee TV that will launch in the coming year includes..

•    Sanskaar Lakshmi, to be produced by famous writer Rajesh Joshi and partner Rajesh Pavitran.
•    The return of Chhoti Bahu with a Season 2.
•    A Gujarati historical show, Jai Somnath produced by Contiloe Telefilms that will star the big name of Bollywood, Sadashiv Amrapurkar.
•    An untitled show, coming from Hats Off Productions that will deal with kids in an orphanage.
•    A historical on the life of Gautam Buddha, to be produced by Swaminarayan Entertainment.
•    Mr. and Mrs. Kaushik ki Paanch Bahuen, to be produced by Rashmi Sharma's Sunrise Productions..

The shows on Star One will be like this..

•    Sapney to be produced by Rajan Shahi.
•    Tamanna, a story of two sisters, to be produced by Drishant Media.
•    A show adapted on the lines of A Life in a Metro, to be produced by Anurag Basu.
•    A non-fiction show to be produced by Siddharth Basu.

The shows on Sony will look like this..

•    Maa Exchange, based on Wife Swap.
•    An untitled show, to be produced by Endemol.
•    A new season of Kaun Banega Crorepati
•    Bhagya, produced by YRF
•    Khote Sikkey, produced by YRF
•    X-Factor

•    Zor Ka Jhatka, based on Wipe Out which brings Shah Rukh Khan back to television as host.
