Chhavi Mittal, the talented actress makes a comeback to television with a full-fledged role in Sahara One and Sphere Origin's latest offering, Ek Chutki Aasman.
The actress who was last seen essaying a cameo role in Imagine's Bandini says, "I do not want to be part of the typical run-on-the-mill stories. I always look for creative satisfaction. I believe that I should be happy with the work I do, so I look out for challenging roles, even if it means that they are hard to come by".
Talking about her role in Ek Chutki Aasman, Chhavi says, "I am essaying the role of Hemangi who belongs to a small village. Circumstances lead her to leave her 6 year old daughter and go to the metro for an existence. Also the show beautifully portrays the mother-daughter relationship and I feel that will touch people's hearts".
Chhavi who is known for her glamorous roles on television will for the first time be seen in a relatively sober avatar. "Yes, it is a completely de-glamorized role. I am personally doing such a role for the first time. It is challenging and is something that I have never portrayed".
Ask her about the USP of the show, and she is quick to say, "I think the mother-daughter relationship which we are trying to portray is the USP of the show. And as per my knowledge there are no kid shows on television, most of them have taken a leap. So, I think that will keep the audience glued".
Lastly, Chhavi had a word of appreciation for the little girl Roshni Parekh who essays the role of her daughter in the show. "She is a very determined kid, and is working very hard. Having a kid on sets just keeps the atmosphere agile. We share a very good off screen relationship, something similar to our onscreen chemistry. It is a nice experience working with a kid like Roshni".
Ek Chutki Aasman launched on 23rd August, at the 8.30 PM slot on Sahara One..

great article... there is a double standard in the industry and its hard for those who don''t have a godfather in the industry to make it... and my guess is that most of the new talent have great scripts and can possibly help create better and innovative stories for our films! thanks!
