Chhaava: Katrina Kaif's reaction to Vicky Kaushal in the historical film is all of us

From Masaan to Sam Bahadur, Vicky Kaushal has slipped into every role effortlessly. Today, fans saw the first teaser of Chhaava and it is mesmerizing to say the least. Vicky Kaushal is unrecognizable as Chhatrapati Sambhaji in the movie. The title Chhaava means the tiger’s cub. In Maratha history, Chhatrapati Shivaji is seen as the valiant tiger. It looks like a big budget movie from Maddock, which is known to make films in a limited scale. The sets, action pieces and technical aspects seem bang-on. However, it is Vicky Kaushal that takes the cake. 

After seeing the teaser, Katrina Kaif wrote on social media,  “And it’s hereeeee. Raw, Brutal and Glorious!” The couple do not fail to cheer up one another. A few days back, he promoted her new range of lipsticks in the cutest manner. His other colleagues are also in awe. They said the whole teaser was absolute “Goosebumps”. Bhumi Pednekar asked if there was any role that he could not pull off. Others also said that his intensity was crazy in the teaser. In a promotional pic, we had seen a shirtless Vicky Kaushal. It is evident that he bulked up immensely for the role of Chhaava. 

Rashmika Mandanna is playing the part of Yeshubai Bhosale, the wife of Sambhaji Maharaj. This is her first historical movie, and one besides the Bad Newwz actor. Laxman Utekar is the director. In the past, he has made films like Luka Chuppi, Mimi and Zara Hatke Zara Bach Ke. Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan’s Zara Hatke Zara Bachke was a pan-India success. 

Rashmika Mandanna thanked the maker Laxman Utekar some months back as her work ended as Yeshubai. She wrote on Instagram, “Sir you have seen me as Yesubai when no one in the world could've even thought about this and I truly wonder how, and not just me. The whole country will wonder how… but watching those visuals make me tear up…you've gotten a performance out of me that I am excited for the world to watch.” It is about Sambhaji’s war with Aurangzeb. As we know, he wanted to expand the Mughal empire beyond Deccan but the Marathas offered stiff resistance. Vicky Kaushal has a great line-up of movies while fans are waiting for Katrina Kaif’s next announcement.
