Sab TV's Tenali Rama might have deviated from it's core concept a long while ago but it has managed to hold a loyal viewership so far.
New characters, cameos and other things are a common occurrence in the show these days and on that note yet another be shade to happen in the form of actor Cheshta Mehta.
Yes! That's right. Mehta, who has been in several shows earlier like Rumm Pumm Po and Kunwara Hai Par Hamara Hai has been a part of the show and will now be seen in a negative role.
Mehta plays Charulataa, a shape-shifting woman, who can take any shape, including merging herself with any object. In a quote for Bombay Times, Mehta said, "I was apprehensive about turning negative, but then I realised that it would allow me to explore a shade I haven't attempted before. Also, such a character has a lot of variations. Besides, it allows me to break away from my cute image on TV. I have always been cute-zoned (laughs!).”
She also opened up on the exciting part of trying out new looks for different characters saying, “I get to sport different looks on the show. I have had to even paint my body. I have done it twice so far, in brown and black, respectively. I was extremely nervous about painting my body, as I was worried about my skin. It took me hours to paint my body and then take it off. But I was very happy with the outcome post the shoot."
We wish her all the best for the role.
