The show that was launched with an interesting prospect and a lot of expectations, failed tremendously leading to its closure. Yes! We are talking about Life OK's medical drama 'Ek Nayi Ummeed...Roshni' that boasted a promising tale with a star-studded cast of experienced actors like Pooja Gor, Amol Palekar, Divya Seth and others.
The show which was launched in July, gave a fresh perspective to think beyond the daily 'saas-bahu' and romantic sagas. However, it seemed to have failed to impress the viewers and thus, has shut down in only four months. The show is shooting its last episode today, which will be aired on November 13.
But as they say- shows will come and shows will go.. but the bonding and relations shall live forever. Similar has been the experience of the actors of 'Roshni' as well. Pooja Gor who plays the protagonist is quite poignant and affectionate with the entire team and her co-stars. She says "It is connection for life. People I have met on this show are very close to my heart, we will always be in touch. I got the best of team to work with, through this show. My producers are the coolest one and I wish to work with them in their each projects. They have treated me like a princess throughout and I will miss everything."
She expressed the same on twitter-

Also the set and ambiance is so grand, that it builds instant energy among the team to work effectively. It is unique in every prospect. I am indeed, lucky to be part of such a beautiful project."
"It is an end to another journey, but I will always be in tube. I would like to take an extremely different project where I can enjoy and showcase my new side than what I got to do on this show. Thank you to all my fans for always supporting me and appreciating my work," Pooja shares a message for the fans.

Can't agree more with all the comments here!! This show was completely different and unique from the long running typical lame sagas on television- right from its concept, realistic execution and approach. Hats off to Pooja Gor and the makers of Roshni, you set an example. I am happy I watched a show where the female protagonist was not just a 'bahu' and whom I could relate to. Would have appreciated if Like Ok had given some more time to the show.. Nevertheless, it is a good suggestion to continue the show as a web series for some more time, just for its storyline and starcast, but even if it doesn't happen, no regrets because I enjoyed watching every bit of the show. Thanks to the entire team Roshni for giving such an amazing show and three cheers for you guys!!

This show can't be compared with any other show, it is much above the other typical and ordinary shows. An amazing, superb, incredible, flawless and an EXTRA ORDINARILY "BEST" SHOW! Our typical Indian audience will never understand such high-level concepts, they enjoy their pathetic old storylines and thats the reason for Roshni's closure! The Indian TRP system is not meant for shows like Roshni, they don't fit here, they are too high for this. Infact, Roshni is a very popular show abroad. The actors are so damn amazing, the storyline, the crisp and clear concept, the realistic approach, the realistic scenes, everything is so perfect. Its a sigh of relief to watch something so fresh on Indian tv. Pooja Gor, you were superb, just SUPERB. Loved ur potrayal of a doctor. Loved the medical world portrayed in the show. And loved the realistic storyline potrayed in the show. A beautiful piece of work by the producers, directors, writers, actors, Amol ji, Divya Seth, Pooja, Sahil, Imran and everyone. This show will always be missed and remembered. An example for other shows. It's better to have such crisp shows with lesser episodes than to have pathetic meaningless long running dramas. All good things come to an end, and so is Roshni. Good luck to the entire team. #ROSHNI ROCKS!!!! :D :D :D

Roshani is a awesome show...so fresh in every aspect...such a brilliant star cast. I will really miss this show a lot. i have a suggestion for the makers please continue the show as a web exclusive series on HOTSTAR. please at least think about it and continue the show as season 2. it's my humble request. India-forums readers and officials i need your support on this one...

Better a short but good show than a long and shamefully idiotic one! Indian audience will never change but I am happy that at least people are trying to give us some new and different kind of shows. I hope Roshni is not the end, but the beginning of the journey of such more amazing shows! I request producers and everyone to change our Indian television. WE HAVE ACTORS! We have mind blowing actors who are wasting themselves in aweful serials! Please try to change this! Pooja Gor all the best! You are a brave girl! Hope to see you in such more amazing shows! Keep it up! I hope you set an example for other actresses too to try to do something different from what they have always been doing! Thanks for this show

I watched this show from the first episode and cannot believe that its shutting down..I guess its not due to actors or due to storyline its mainly due to the audience..people dont want to give a chance and watch different shows apart from the usual saas bahu shows..I guess thats what audience want to watch..Its unfortunate but I am happy that I was watching the show and loved every bit of it..Miss you Pooja and others..hope to see you all soon
