Children's Day, observed on November 14th, is a day dedicated to honoring and cherishing the most precious souls in our lives – our children. This day holds immense significance as it marks the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister, who was known for his deep affection and fondness for children.
As we approach Children's Day, it's a time to reflect on the carefree moments of childhood and embrace the everlasting spirit of innocence. Navika Kotia, the talented actress portraying Kesar in Zee TV's "Kyunki… Saas Maa Bahu Beti Hoti Hai," recently shared delightful memories from her own childhood, expressing the timeless joy that this special day holds for her.
Talking to us about this day, the actress said, “When I was a kid, I used to always look forward to Children's Day. I remember celebrating it lavishly at school, where both teachers and students would prepare skits, and teachers would dress up as students, and students in the teacher's style. My parents also made it special for me and my brother Shivansh. We used to have loads of fun back then on this day. In fact, even now, I always make sure to get Shivansh a gift and leave it in his room with a small note to surprise him, as for me, he will always be a child. Wishing you all a happy Children's Day - may you always keep the child in you alive.”
As we celebrate Children's Day, Navika's heartfelt memories serve as a poignant reminder to cherish the simple joys of life, embrace the innocence within, and continue nurturing the childlike spirit that adds color and magic to our journey through the years.
