Last night Mumbai witnessed an array of models sashaying down the runway in designer Rohit Verma’s exclusive collection ‘Sindoor Khela’ that spotlights crusaders of several social atrocities against women. Ample Missiion Foundation which initiated this movement of Gender Inclusivity, took the matter this time a notch higher in the second edition.
The most significant highlight of the show was taking the cause to the next level from 2019; adding to the earlier show; first of its kind for a transwoman, this time the ramp witnessed acid attack survivors, trans-women flaunting the beautiful collection with their confidence and grace.
Along with professional runway models, the show also included inspiring personalities who stand as a classic example of how women have taken to the world and risen like a phoenix from all atrocities that they were put through time and again.
These women are proud of their identity and their stories because they traversed through the situation thrown at them. Some of these inspiring individuals were Vishal Aditya Singh, Rashmi Desai, artist Kalpana Gandhi and many other names like Zakira Shaikh who is an acid attack survivor, Ganga Julie, and Sonu, who represented the transgender community on the ramp. Kahiin Kisii Roz fame Mouli Ganguly arrived on the ramp in an off-shoulder design by Rohit Verma.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame, Karan Mehra walked the ramp with his actress wife Nisha Rawal. Rohit wore a white cotton draped kurta and bandhgala jacket, while Nisha Rawal looked absolutely elegant in a red frilly saree.
Rashami Desai twirled and stunned in a white lehenga and corset style choli for the designer's runway.
Actress, Urvashi Rautela wrapped up the show with her show stopper act with a bridal get up.
Rohit Verma's runway that represented strength and inclusivity saw Ganga, Julie and Sonu representing the transgender community and a brave acid attack survivor Zakira Shaik stun the runway.
