Box Office: 'SatyaPrem Ki Katha' rakes in big numbers on Day 3; on course to have a good extended weekend

After having a decent start at the boxx office on Day 1, which was a Thursday, SatyaPrem KI Katha witnessed an expected drop in the numbers on Friday. After earning about 9 crores on the first day, the film saw a minimal drop on Saturday as it raked in 7 crores taking the total of two days amounting to Rs 16.25 crores.

With the weekend coming in, it was always expected that the film will see a ride in the numbers and it certainly did. The Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani starrer just about managed to rake in double digits as the film garnered Rs 10.25 crores yesterday. Thus, this takes the three-day total minus Sunday to a rather encouraging Rs 26.35 crores.

Early reports suggest that the Sunday total for SatyaPrem Ki Katha might hit just over the double digits again and there is a chance that the film might rake in a pretty decent Rs 40 crore extended-weekend.

Though, needless to say, that the true test of the film lies when the new week begins and the first test for the same will be the Monday test. A drop will be certain but to what extent will the drop be will determine the kind of numbers the film will rake in in ahead and if it will be a success or not.

The reviews for the film have been glowing and has garnered a lot of appreciation for Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. The film does face some competition in the coming week with a few releases coming in especially the Vidya Balan starrer, Neeyat.
