With Bigg Boss 18 going on-air featuring the host Salman Khan, viewers are getting familiar with the new contestants entering the house. Among them is Muskan Bamne, the actress from Anupamaa, who has recently left the popular soap opera. In an interview with Indianexpress.com, Muskan mentioned that her admiration for Salman Khan was a major factor in her decision to participate in Bigg Boss 18.
Discussing her choice to join a reality show immediately after Anupamaa, Muskan stated, “A reality show is something where people get to know the real you. I have done TV shows where people know me through my character, but with this, people will get to know the real me. I am completely the opposite of my character Paakhi in Anupamaa. People have seen me fight a lot on screen, but there is more to me that people will get to see on Bigg Boss."

Looking back on her experience in Anupamaa, Muskan recognized the considerable influence the show has had on her career.“Anupamaa has given me a lot of recognition, it was the turning point of my life. Even now, people call me Paakhi, and it feels nice to see that. The journey has been amazing," she shared. Muskan also touched on the recent exits of Sudhanshu Pandey and Madalsa Sharma from the show, adding, “Everyone on set misses Sudhanshu and Madalsa, not just the audience. There is no fun in the show without Vanraj Shah. Lots of people connected with Sudhanshu sir. I have heard the show is taking a leap, so there might be new additions."
When questioned about the rumors of discord between Rupali Ganguly and other cast members after Sudhanshu and Madalsa left, Muskan promptly dismissed them.“It is not so. I was the youngest on set, so she was always very helpful. When I couldn’t understand something, she would guide me. She is lovely," Muskan clarified.
As Muskan enters Bigg Boss 18, her aim is to remain as genuine and authentic as she can, letting viewers witness her true self. She conveyed her assurance that she won’t be viewed negatively, stating that, “I am not worried about how people will perceive my real personality. Usually, people are worried they might get trolled or be seen negatively, but I don’t think it will happen with me."
Bigg Boss 18 is broadcast on Colors TV every day from Monday to Sunday, and there's a 24-hour live stream accessible on the Jio Cinema App.
