Bigg Boss 18: Nyrraa Banerjee shares how Paras Chhabra and Nishant uplifted her to join the show

In an exclusive chat with India Forums, Nyrraa M. Banerjee shared her excitement about entering Bigg Boss 18. Apart from her notable roles in TV shows like Divya Drishti and Zaban Sambhal Ke, she has also acted in several Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada movies. Nyrraa expressed her anticipation for the challenges ahead and the friendships she hopes to build, promising fans an unforgettable journey filled with drama, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Naira, how is your sleep these nights?

Honestly, I haven’t been sleeping well at all. I’ve been busy packing my own clothes, and I recently signed on, so I haven’t had any time to tell my stylist what kind of look I’m aiming for. I haven’t had much time to plan my looks. But I did get some help from a very renowned stylist, and I mostly used my own clothes. I’ve been really busy with packing, ironing, washing, and doing laundry, so I end up sleeping around 3 or 4 AM. I have to wake up by 9 AM because the bell starts ringing, and parcels start coming. For the past few days, I’ve been getting only four or three hours of sleep. I would suggest that you all please get some sleep because once you’re in the Bigg Boss house, when the rooster crows, you have to be ready for that!

Yes, for the last three days, I’ve been avoiding antihistamines because I’ve developed so many allergies due to the clothes and lack of sleep. I'm really tired.

Wow, despite all that, you still seem full of energy! Now, my second question is: you’ve received offers from Bigg Boss several times. We’ve read reports about it, and you’ve mentioned it too. What made you finally say yes to Bigg Boss 18?

I think my heart said, "No, it’s time for you to go." I understand that I’ve received many offers in the past, but things didn’t work out. I believe this was God’s plan. This time, my heart told me I should go, and I decided to follow my gut feeling. Some good friends encouraged me and told me, “You need to go!” When there are so many signs indicating that I should go, and my heart agrees, and my friends are pushing me, I thought, “Just go and figure it out!”

That’s great to hear! So, before this, you were also offered a chance to participate in Bigg Boss. Who was the first person to motivate you to take part this season?

It was Paras Chhabra and Nishant who encouraged me to join this season. They told me I should definitely go. Shiv also told me last year that I should go because I would get an offer. This season came along, and I don’t know why they both started telling me, “Please go!”

It seems your friends have a strong gut feeling about you being on the show!

I guess! Now I’m getting nervous, wondering why they urged me so much. Maybe they think I should be on the show too. Who knows?

Going into the house, you know there are no filters. Are you scared to present your true self?

Those who hide their truths or have vulnerabilities might be scared. But being vulnerable is not a problem for me. I’m not afraid of showing who I really am because you all have seen my nature and personality. I have nothing to be scared of; I’m here to face the situations and understand how to deal with them. I hope to present my true self.

Bigg Boss isn’t just about the game inside the house; there are many controversies outside as well. Are you ready to face all that?

I’ve already been through a lot of trolling over the past two to three years, so I’ve practiced dealing with these things. I won’t let it bother me. Everyone has issues in their lives. If you start getting bothered by the mud being thrown at you, then you can’t focus. I’m going there to focus on my game, my personality, and my approach.

Before Bigg Boss, you participated in a stunt-based reality show. Now, this is a personality-based show. Are you prepared for that?

Yes, I have the choice to stay prepared because I’m fully aware that such things happen. Your true personality is how you handle situations, whether inside or outside the house. You can’t be scared.

Are there any specific things you fear that shouldn’t come out during the show?

My biggest flaw is that I often can’t express my feelings because I was an introvert. Since I started acting, especially during my time in "Divya Drishti," my interactions with the media and public have increased. My interaction with fans has really improved, and I’ve come out of my shell.

- Nyraa M Banerjee

It sounds like you’ve made significant progress!

Yes! When I’m vulnerable, I just hope that I can express myself. If I remind myself that these people are not my real family members and they won’t go back home with me, it gives me clarity. If I have that clarity, I don’t think anything can affect me. My honesty is my strength.

As Nyrraa M Banerjee prepares to enter the Bigg Boss 18 house, her excitement is palpable. With the support of friends like Paras Chhabra and Nishant, she's determined to stay true to herself amidst the challenges. Despite her nerves, Nyrraa embraces her journey, ready to showcase her genuine personality. Fans are eager to see how she navigates the game, bringing her unique charm to the show!
