Bigg Boss 18: Karan Veer Mehra reveals divorce with Nidhi Seth was 'hasty'; talks about male ego

Bigg Boss 18 has given fans a new reality star in Karan Veer Mehra. He won Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 with his daredevilry and sharp mind, Salman Khan’s show has proved he is a strong head with a good heart. We have heard Eisha Singh and Alice Kaushik talking about his two failed marriages. In a candid conversation with new entrant Kashish Kapoor, Karan got candid on what went wrong with his two marriages. After being friends for ten years, he had married Devika Mehra. Their marriage lasted for eight long years. He said that over time Devika and he evolved as people and drifted apart. They were no longer the two young people who had once fallen in love. 

He also said that after a point he began to feel unloved in his relationship with Devika Mehra. It seems she too joined showbiz and that lead to cracks in the relationship. He had earlier told a publication, “I felt like I had begun to slip from her list of priorities. Consequently, our equations changed and I got linked to actresses, actors and creative producers, and it was the beginning of the end. So, I don't blame or disrespect. the institution of marriage and I'm not disillusioned either.” 

He had married Nidhi Seth in 2020 in the middle of the lockdown. The marriage did not last for two years. Seth later said that marrying him was the biggest mistake of her life. When she decided to separate, her parents whole-heartedly supported her decision. Karan Veer Mehra said he was confident his second marriage would last. He was hurt when it ended. He said the divorce was a hasty decision, and maybe things could have been managed better. 

Karan Veer Mehra said the third and fourth lockdown caused more issues between them. He said, “Then it starts with small things, then it goes on and on. And then it's a small thing, then the male ego gets hurt. Then you say it. Managing it is crucial, but we just didn't have that level of understanding.” 

On the show, he has been shipped with actress Chum Darang. She is from Arunachal Pradesh. Fans have tagged #ChumVeer but he told her that he has no intentions of pursuing any romantic relationship.
