In a heartbreaking development, actress and model Shefali Jariwala—best known for her iconic appearance in the early 2000s music video Kaanta Laga—has passed away.

As reported by Vickey Lalwani, Shefali was brought to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri some time ago but tragically, she was declared dead on arrival.

Sources at the hospital confirmed the news to the journalist, stating that Shefali had already passed away by the time she reached the emergency unit. She was brought in by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, along with three other individuals. A staff member at the reception told us, “She was already gone when they brought her here. Her husband and a few people were with her.”

When asked for further information, the Resident Medical Officer on duty, a cardiologist associated with the hospital didn’t deny the incident, he maintained patient confidentiality, saying, “I cannot share any information.” Later, Dr. Sushant from the same hospital confirmed Shefali’s passing and added that the body is being sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
