Ayushmann Khurrana, the talented Bollywood actor, turns 40 today, and social media is buzzing with love and birthday wishes from his fans, friends, and family. Among those sharing heartfelt messages was Bhumi Pednekar, his first co-star. Bhumi, who made her debut with Ayushmann in the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha, took to Instagram Stories on Saturday to wish him. She posted a sweet selfie where both are seen sipping chai and nibbling on cookies. Ayushmann is casually dressed in a black sweatshirt, while Bhumi looks comfy in a white hoodie.

In her story, Bhumi wrote, "Happy Birthday @ayushmannk, Have the bestest year," and added sparkle and nazar amulet emojis to her message. The duo has a long-standing connection in Bollywood, starting with their debut in Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Besides their first film together, they were also co-stars in the 2017 romantic comedy Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, a story that touched on the topic of erectile dysfunction. 

On September 1, Ayushmann celebrated seven years since the film's release by sharing a montage of clips from the movie on Instagram, captioned with, "#7YearsOfShubhMangalSaavdhan," along with heart, cookie, and tea emojis.

Their on-screen chemistry extended to the 2019 satirical movie Bala, where Ayushmann portrayed a man struggling with male pattern baldness, and Bhumi played a significant role in his journey. Bhumi also made a brief cameo in Ayushmann's 2020 film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, which focused on the love story of a gay couple, further showcasing their strong professional rapport.

Recently, Ayushmann starred in Dream Girl 2, a sequel to his 2019 hit Dream Girl. He will next appear in Karan Johar's untitled project, alongside Sara Ali Khan. Rumors suggest Ayushmann is also set to join Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe in Vampires of Vijay Nagar, with Rashmika Mandanna.

As for Bhumi, her latest appearance was in Bhakshak, a crime thriller inspired by the Muzaffarpur shelter case. Fans can soon see her in Netflix's upcoming series The Royals, featuring a star-studded cast including Ishaan Khatter, Zeenat Aman, and Milind Soman.
