This mother's day show your kids what Superhero Moms' can do! It's time to step out of the un-cool and old-fashioned strait-laced sternness mode and step into the cape of Batmom, Supermom or Spidermom. Pledge on this Mother's Day to find out the best avenues that could help you bridge the relationship gap. Be it a family holiday to get children to view you as their real-life superheroes' by swinging with them on a trapeze or go for crazy motor boat rides, paintball fights or bumper rides or spending quality time with them or scarifying some me' time and attending to their needs or treating them with unexpected surprises whatever it may be may the force be with you!
Here are a few things that real - life Superhero moms' around the city shared with us...
From TV to being real Superhero Moms:
Supriya Pilgaonkar who was seen in Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi...Meri Bhabhi on Star Plus
"I think being a Superhero Mom is a necessity if you are working women. For me, it was a choice which I made. I have always been a passionate person be it as a mother or as an actor. I knew these roles I have chosen for myself and I want to play it perfectly. As actors we work for 12 hours and then there is hardly any time we get to spend with our families but I have always made it a point that I would spend quality time with my daughter and be her friend. I wanted her to see and learn how important it is to be independent .I hope in future she will become a Superhero Moms too."
"Me as a Superhero Mom or just a mom today won't be complete without a super kid and super dad (husband) at home. It's amazing and I feel Privileged to get an opportunity to juggle work and kid. I draw the inspiration to do this from my fellow working mothers. Makes me feel more progressive towards my work. To all the mothers out there I would like to say, More power to you Superhero Moms and super women."
"I'm constantly jugging with work and attending my home and two kids. My kids find me a Supermom when they see me on TV and are proud of my work. However to be their real Superhero mom I ensure to take out time for them regularly and have honest discussions with them on various topics. We also plan out annual holidays together that's the only time I get some dedicated days to spend time with fun activities of that city along with my kids like visiting Universal Studios or experiencing some rides, to see them smile is another level of joy altogether".
As children grow up, changes in their physical and mental make-up tend to have an impact on their interpersonal relationships and perspectives, especially with their immediate family i.e. parents. The urban Indian parents are increasingly trying to make efforts to reconnect with their children and be perceived as cool', by indulging in common interests, activities & conversations. Keeping this insight in mind Singapore tourism board is asking parents across the country to reveal their #SuperParents moments which has received overwhelming response. Some of the most touching entries are ...
Superhero Moms from across the country:
"Getting the news of our 2 yr old son Aarav being diagnosed with cancer shattered our hearts into pieces. But we took the treatment, spent days and nights in hospital, visited endless doctors, boosted his and our courage and after 3 years of treatment today he has come up as a survivor in our arms" - Mrs. Prakruti Nabh
"When our son finished his pilot course in Florida USA and got the CPL License there, that moment we were super parents. We are very proud to say that we fulfill our son's childhood ambition to become pilot. We are the superparents to say" - Mrs. Revathi Seshu
So what would you do to be a Superhero Mom for your children?
