#BB12EXCLUSIVE: "My seasons contestants were very real; this season's contestants are not!"

Only yesterday, we broke the news of Bigg Boss Season 11 winner Shilpa Shinde and mastermind runner-up Vikas Gupta entering the Bigg Boss 12 house. The duo will be seen entering the show on Monday.

With the current season being very dull as compared to the last season, ardent fans of the show are expecting some major fireworks with Shilpa and Vikas' entry in the show.

We got candid with Shilpa about the current season, her strategy in the house and her opinion on the current crop of contestants.

Excerpts:  

Are you excited to return to the Bigg Boss house again?

I am both happy and excited that I will enter the show again and also for my fans who will get to see me again in the show. And what's even better is that I am entering the show with Guptaji (Vikas Gupta). It's just a different feeling as I am not a contestant this time.

There has been a lot of excitement ever since news of you and Vikas entering the show has come out, considering how dull this season is. There is a lot of anticipation surrounding your entry. What will you be doing in the show?

Actually it's good that there is anticipation. But what happens is that wherever there is comparison, things tend to get ugly. But somethings happen only once. So maybe that is why people are disappointed this time. Also, the celebrities this time are not being their real selves, when that is what they are supposed to do. That's the whole point of the game, to be the real you. And all those who pretend in the house, are eliminated at some point. And the audience also tends to recognise them. So maybe this is the reason for this season's low response.

Can we expect a clash inside the house when you enter, as we already have a winner inside (Megha Dhade)?

I don't think so. It will be fun and interesting. (jokes) Maybe the other contestants will get scared and intimidated. There already is a winner in the house (Megha Dhade, but what one needs is to have confidence in themselves. They need to have the mindset that they have entered the show with the aim to win. And that's the problem here. Everybody has become conscious and scared.

Whose game are you liking the most?

I feel that Surbhi, Romil and Deepak are not only understanding the game well, but also playing it.

We haven't seen much of any Shilpa or Hina like traits in this season's contestants so far.

Comparisons are bound to happen. In our season, every contestant was real in his portrayal of himself. Everyone of us had a unique quality and as a human being too, there was a lot for the audience to see. We all were real and none of us were pretentious. And that was very important.

There is this kitchen trend' that comes up with your name. There was this whole wave in the house that lets all go and be in the kitchen'. In fact, we'll also see a small tiff between Dipika and Megha in tonight's episode. Will you clarify that this is a myth?

I really don't know where this started from. Initially nobody would go into the kitchen because there would be no visibility there. And for all those who've strategized that making food and feeding people in the house will win you the title, then it is wrong. I'd heard a TV artist's interview where she said that Shilpa Shinde won the show my making food in the kitchen.

Do you think that the TRPs of the show will increase with Vikas and Shilpa's entry into the house? What are you expecting out of their visit?
