Bappi Lahiri's funeral to be held on February 17: Official statement from Bappi Da's family
Legendary singer Bappi Lahiri's sad demise has sent shock waves across the nation. The veteran's family has released an official statement about the last rites of the singer.

Bappi Lahiri, the Disco King of music, passed away at the age of 69 on Wednesday, bringing sadness to the entertainment industry. His tragic death has left the whole entertainment industry in mourning.
His bereaved family has now released an official statement informing his admirers of the late legend's funeral arrangements. Bappi Lahiri's son, Bappa Lahiri, is expected to arrive from Los Angeles tomorrow, according to the family. Following that, the late legend's funeral would be held in Mumbai.
The statement from the family reads,
"It’s a deeply sad moment for us. The cremation will take place on the arrival of Bappa From LA tomorrow mid-morning. We are seeking love and blessings for his soul. We will keep you updated-Mrs Lahiri, Mr.Gobind Bansal, Bappa Lahiri, Rema lahiri."
On Tuesday night, Bappi Da breathed his last at CritiCare hospital in Mumbai. The 69-year-old singer-composer passed away due to OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea). His doctor issued a statement post his demise.
Bappi Da's son Bappa Lahiri in an official statement said,
"With great sadness we announce the loss of my father Shri Bappi Lahiri ( Bappi Da). Please keep him in your prayers."
Tributes have been pouring in on social media for the late legend. From Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra to Bhumi Pednekar, all celebs from the industry are mourning the loss of the legend. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind too, have expressed grief over the demise of the legend.
