And it has been official for a while now that the Life Ok popular show, Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant' is all set to go off-air on the 10th February 2017. It has been hearthbreaking for several fans as the show which was launched back in 2016 was an absolute underdog, but went on to become one of the most loved shows of the year.
While, the whole ensemble cast of the show have been terrific with their performances, it has undoubtedly been none other than Ridhima Pandit aka Rajni herself who enthralled one and all with her performance.
From playing a robot to being a rickshawvala, to playing the quirky maid, Aishwariya and playing her own on-screen mother-in-law, Surili (Pallavi Pradhan), Ridhima has been versatile and aced every shades and form of the character she has portrayed on-screen.
But, with the show now calling it curtains, the fans and us wanted to know how Ridhima is feeling and what's next in store for her.
In a conversation with the actress, she exclaimed, "Well, yes. Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant is sadly going off-air soon and the whole cast is supposedly going to be shooting their last on 31st January 2017. I am really sad by this, but I can only understand why is it happening!"
She added, "The show was always supposed to run for a year and as it is going off-air on 10th February 2017, it pretty much fits, where it begun on 15th February 2016."
She continued, "I would like to thank the amazing team of my writers especially, my producer, Sonali and Amir Jaffer, who have been the most amazing people to work for. And of course, a special call to Life Ok channel for being courageous to take up this concept and portray it the way it was."
Now that the show is ending, we asked has she already been flooding with offers, to which she said, "Even I was so surprised and humbled by the fact that even before it was confirmed that the show is going off-air, I got a couple of offers. As an actor, you feel so good about this that people are willing to work with you and are looking forward to it."
As she has been getting offers, we asked if she is already considering something, "It is too soon to think about something and finalise stuff. I am still shooting for the show and till then I would be looking at these offers and others when they come to me. However, one thing is clear that I have no intent of taking any break' from work. I want to keep working and am open to offers coming my way. I would love to do a romance, drama or an action show next. Also, I have been asked about this time and again about doing reality shows. Hence, I would like to say that I do not see myself participating in a reality show, but would love to host one. Anchoring is something I love to do and doing it on TV is even better."
As she mentioned that she is not taking a break, we asked whether she will be taking up any offer or show that comes to her at the soonest, to which she said, "I believe in the saying that Hit the hammer, while the Iron is Hot.' I love working constantly and I intend to continue doing the same. 'Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant' will remain extremely special to me all my life, but I know that I have to look ahead and hence would love to be back on the screen at the soonest."

In this era of shows going off-air in a matter of months for one reason or another, to last one year on-air is quite an achievement! This show started off so strongly and I commend the showrunners for taking a risk with such a concept. I wish BHRK had maintained the balance of humor and seriousness that it had in the beginning. To me, it was never just a comedy. The depth in Shaan-Rajni and Dev-Shogata's relationships, along with Ram-Rajni-Dev's beautiful found family dynamic, showed that. It would have been wonderful to see the Kants rebuilding their lives and relationships gradually. With such a talented ensemble cast, each character could have gotten a chance to shine. I feel like there's so much left to be explored! Dev has been such an integral part of Shaan and Rajni's lives, as the only person who knows about what they've been through...He could have helped the Kants to rise above their troubles. That's what I had been expecting ever since he was reintroduced, to be honest. It would have made the post-leap plot so much stronger. Dev and Shogata should have been given a storyline in parallel with that of Shaan and Rajni's. I was hoping there would be more interactions and bonding between those four principal characters, since Raqesh, Ridhima, Neel, and Neha are all such talented actors. At the very least, if Shaan and Rajni can end up together, then so should Dev and Shogata! I would be open to there being a second season of BHRK if the various family relationships and the two main romantic relationships are explored in more depth. I wanted to see so much more of Shaan-Rajni and Dev-Shogata!

It's pretty sad that the show is getting pulled off so soon. There is a lot more pending to say. Last month too Ridhima was confirming Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant is going to stay back now all of a sudden is pretty disheartening. Even the last episodes they are showing Saas v/s Bahu saga important characters like Dev Shogu is being sidelined. It's totally unfair that Dev Shogu won't be uniting even in end instead of showing all film shooting crap they could have shown Dev Shogu or Kants doing something to bring back there business with help of Rajni.
