Badtameez Dil is like a dream come true for me: Suyyash Rai

The popular hunk Suyyash Rai who rose to fame with Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, had been on a break from a daily show from quite a long time. Now, the actor cum singer Suyyash is all set to make a comeback to the small screen with Saurabh Tewari's upcoming show Phir Bhi Na Maane..Badtameez Dil on Star Plus.

Suyyash will be seen playing the character of Nisaar on the show who is a Rockstar. Suyyash is quite happy to bag this role as along with acting, he is getting a chance to sing and compose his own songs too on the show. In a conversation with TellyBuzz, Suyyash shares more about the same...  

Talking about how the show happened to him, Suyyash told us, "When I called for an audition for this show, I was about to sign Nach Baliye and because of that, I couldn't take up anything else so I said a No' for it but the production people convinced me to go for it. They told me that it's a role of a singer. I had a dream of playing a Rockstar on-screen. This made me go for the audition. Slowly everything fell into the right place. One day I got a call from Nach Baliye for signing the contract and I was ready for it but soon after ten minutes, I got a call from this production house saying that I have been finalized for the show. Both the shows happened to me at a same time when I was waiting for it for so long. Nach Baliye is a big reality show while this show was new; it was on Star Plus too and at prime time. I could see a bigger picture with this. It was a tough decision for me to choose between both the shows as Ekta Kapoor is a dear friend and I got a break from Balaji with Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani. When it comes to choose between dancing and singing, I would go for singing. I am very happy with my decision and the show is shaping up really well."

"My character on the show is a great character which is giving me a chance to perform and emote a lot. The team is great to work with. The director of this show Ashish Shrivastav, is my first director from Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani. He is the reason I am able to act today. He is also very happy and surprised to see me improved so much. It's a good feeling when your director is happy with your work," added Suyyash.  

Suyyash is living his dream of acting as well as singing his own songs on the show and he is quite excited about it. He said, "It's a dream come true for me. It's my dream project and the dream role that I am playing. If a singer acts, then he thinks that he will get to sing his own songs only if he will do movies because television shows rarely have their own music. It's the first time that in a musical show on television, an actor is getting to sing his own songs. I can't thank God enough for this."  

Suyyash is quite thankful to his parents and the love of his life Kishwer (Kishwer Merchantt) for being a great support for him throughout the journey. When we asked Suyyash as how did Kishwer support him with this show rejecting Nach Baliye 7, he said, "There have been a lot of reasons why SuKish has been a successful couple. She was doing three shows and it was a big decision for her to opt for Nach Baliye after leaving all the three shows. She did that for me and I am grateful to her for this. We face so many situations in life when we have to think as where to go. She has been very supportive throughout whether it's acting, singing, cricket or photography. I can't thank her enough and my parents too. Every parent does this for their children but in my case, I remember that we all were living in four different cities just for my career. Once I just told my Mom that I can't struggle anymore; I am not able to do it. My Mom left her job and she came down to Mumbai from Chandigarh just for me so that my life will become little easy here. Small ingredients are needed to have a product ready."  

"Thank you so much for being supportive always; even when I was not doing anything. Finally, it's time for me to come back to television with this show. Keep loving me and I hope you will love my character on the show," concludes Suyyash conveying a message to his fans.
